Drop Thesis psilocybin journey room in Bend, Oregon

If you’re exploring a licensed psilocybin journey in Bend, Oregon, you may come across Drop Thesis, one of Central Oregon’s first psilocybin service centers. As an independent licensed psilocybin facilitator, I work with clients from consultation through integration. Together, we choose the licensed service center that feels most aligned for your in-person journey day, where I’m present to guide and support you throughout the experience.

In this article, I’ll share more about Drop Thesis, what the space is like, and how working with an independent facilitator fits within Oregon’s regulated psilocybin model.

What Is Drop Thesis?

Drop Thesis is a licensed psilocybin service center located in downtown Bend, Oregon, offering legal, supervised psilocybin sessions within Oregon’s regulated framework. As one of the early centers in the state, it provides a supportive environment where clients can explore psilocybin journeys in collaboration with licensed facilitators.

Meet Kris Solis, Service Center Manager at Drop Thesis

Kris Solis, Drop Thesis Manager

Kris Solis serves as the Service Center Manager at Drop Thesis, thoughtfully overseeing client logistics to ensure each experience flows with care and intention. When you arrive at the center, she creates a grounded and welcoming introduction to the space. Her steady presence helps create an environment that feels welcoming, organized, and connected to the natural roots of this medicine. For clients, this often translates into feeling oriented, cared for, and able to settle into the experience more easily.

Raised in the mountains of western Washington, Kris developed an early reverence for the natural world and plant medicine traditions. Drawing from her Indigenous and Mexican lineage and her own lived experiences of resilience and healing, she brings a grounded, thoughtful presence to her role at Drop Thesis.

Kris began her career as a Medical Assistant and Surgical Technician, advocating for patients within the allopathic healthcare system. Her professional path later expanded into environmental rehabilitation and community outreach through a Washington State program, aligning her work with whole-person and planetary wellness. She’s also served as a Disaster Response Coordinator during major hurricane relief efforts across the East Coast, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands, and later as a Trail Ranger with the National Park Service. These experiences reflect her deep commitment to stewardship, logistics, and compassionate leadership.

In the context of a psilocybin journey, that blend of logistical clarity and heartfelt care can make the entire day feel smoother and more contained.

The Setting at Drop Thesis

Drop Thesis is located in downtown Bend, Oregon, in a two-story building designed to feel warm, creative, and inviting without being clinical or sterile. The aesthetic carries subtle vintage and earth-toned influences — grounded, approachable, and relaxed. It doesn’t feel like a medical office, nor does it feel overly formal.

Instead, it offers a comfortable, thoughtfully curated environment that honors both professionalism and the natural origins of psilocybin. As one of the first legal centers in the country, Drop Thesis provides a grounded, supportive environment where growth and healing can unfold within Oregon’s legal framework.

The center includes:

  • Three private journey rooms

  • A group space that accommodates up to six journeyers

  • Easy access to restrooms

  • A layout designed for privacy, comfort, and ease

Upon arrival for the journey session, clients are welcomed into a calm, grounded setting and offered a warm beverage as they settle in. The setting is intentional and designed to help you feel safe and supported during your psilocybin journey.

If you’re interested in working together, contact me, Cate Ritter, to schedule a complimentary 20-minute consultation. This allows us to determine whether you’re a good fit for this work and to explore your intentions, readiness, and desired experience.

As a licensed psilocybin facilitator, my role is to guide you through preparation, support you on your journey day, and help you integrate your experience afterward. My facilitation style is non-directive and supportive, focusing on safety, presence, and honoring your inner process. I only collaborate with licensed service centers that meet professional and environmental standards.

In Oregon’s model, clients work with both a licensed facilitator and a licensed psilocybin service center. The psilocybin session itself takes place at the center, while preparation and integration sessions are typically held online via Zoom. Clients must be at least age 21 and complete all legally required Oregon Health Authority (OHA) intake and consent forms before their psilocybin journey.

Choosing a service center is about personal resonance. The overall environment can influence how supported you feel during your journey, and together we’ll determine which setting feels most aligned.

How Do I Choose a Psilocybin Service Center in Bend?

Many clients feel unsure how to choose between Bend’s licensed psilocybin service centers. Together, we look at a few key factors:

  • Environment and aesthetic (calm, grounded, non-clinical, or minimal and modern)

  • Location and logistics (downtown vs. quieter settings, accessibility)

  • Type of session (private vs. small group, length of session, daytime vs. evening)

  • Availability and cost (timing, tiered pricing, group vs. individual rates)

During our consultation, I help you clarify what kind of space and structure you feel most supported in.

Drop Thesis a good fit for people who value a warm, creative, downtown setting with a balance of professionalism and heart.
